Position Summary:
The Foundation Assistant Director is responsible for contributing to the Foundation team effort to accept, manage, and distribute private support for the University of Idaho. This individual will work closely with the Director of Finance to support the accounting and finance functions of the Foundation. The Assistant Director will mentor, train, and provide guidance to other accounting staff. The Assistant Director will manage the audit, financial statement preparation, tax process, investment reporting, regular accounting activities, and other accounting and finance roles of the Foundation. They will develop and implement system efficiencies to streamline existing processes and fully automate processes with updated CRM and ERP systems. The Assistant Director will also manage and maintain the databases, including deriving ideas to reduce manual entry.
Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting

• Accounting experience.

• Experience in analyzing and interpreting financial information.

• Experience in compiling, developing, and summarizing material for reports and preparing presentations.

• Experience utilizing database and accounting systems.

• Experience editing and writing business correspondence using proper grammar and punctuation as demonstrated in application materials.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Audit and financial statement review or preparation experience.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Experience working at a university or foundation.
